- Ensure pet information is annotated on the port-call request.
- Limited pet travel varies per airline
- Members are responsible to pay for their pet's travel.
- Destinations and weight restrictions vary by airlines.
- Weight usually not to exceed 100-150 lbs including cage.
- SATO will annotate remarks about your pet, however the member is responsible for verification.
- Ensure vet releases authorization for pet travel.
Pet Travel
- Make pet's wellness appointment within 10 days of departure
- Request 2 copies of pet's health records and health certificates with actual signatures.
- Pet kennel must be US Dept of Agriculture (USDA) approved.
- Consult with airline customer service.
- Shop around for pet travel fares.
- Pets are NOT an entitlement.
